Long live the 80's
March 01, 2008
Hong Kong Restaurant reminded me of all the Chinese restaurants I went to as a kiddie: terrible decor, loud atmosphere, lots of flashing neon lights, fish/lobsters/crabs in tanks crying out to be eaten, the obligatory cute hostess, and brilliant (but somewhat angry) service from non-english speaking waiters. Love it!
To be completely honest, the food was no better or worse than your typical Chinese establishment but HK is located in the heart of Manchester's China Town, which for me, is all part of the experience. I didn't call in sick the next day so I guess it's safe to say that the food is good, trusted, and that I'd happily recommend this to anyone in Manchester looking for a decent feed.
