Housed in a former Edwardian pumping station, The People's History Museum is an exhibition that is dedicated to the lives and struggles of working people in Britain. Based in the city of Manchester - where the first Trade Union Congress took place in 1869 - the museum contains displays on the Peterloo massacre, Trade Union banners and 1945 general election. Admission is free for everyone.
