In its present form, the Prince Charles Cinema is the only non-subsidised repertory cinema in the UK. Members get cheaper tickets. They act independently in their dealings with all film companies, and specialise in showing revival films that you may have missed when they first came out. If you feel like having a drink after watching a film, then you can always relax in their evening bar before launching out into the West End.

This cinema is such a great place, but so few people know about it.

It's tucked away right next to Leicester square and where all the other cinemas nearby charge over £10 a ticket at the Prince Charles is less than half that, and only £1.50 if you're a member.

THAT'S £1.50 FOR A FILM, IN LEICESTER SQUARE!

They show a mixture of great international films, and big releases. Although because they're totally independent the Hollywood releases are normally there after they've been out elsewhere for a while.

It's a great place to catch a film you've missed, or see something you hadn't heard of but are bound to love. So many times I've just watched whatever's on, and it's been fantastic.
