Keeping it flowin'

4.0 out of 5.0

I try not to have high expectations of places that are generally deemed "tourist traps." And as one of the oldest gownie pubs in Oxford, Lamb & Flag certainly has its mention in the guidebooks.

However, it fulfills all its high expectations.

Drinks are inexpensive, and the bartenders do their best to make it through the people crowded around the bar in a fair and orderly fashion. They also don't seem to mind explaining pub lingo to ignorant Americans :)

I haven't tried the food yet, but the wide array of seating and consistent crowds suggest that it will be quite good.
