Great gastropub, but get here early

Discovered The White Swan on Fetter Lane, took a new team member for lunch. We arrived just after 12pm and were the first for lunch, and decided to sit downstairs in the pub area rather than the more formal dining room upstairs.

Food was excellent. I had crab cakes - a generous portion although my side salad was teeny weeny. However combined it was a good sized, healthy but tasty lunch. My colleauge had a smoked haddock fishcake which he gave the thumbs up. Service was prompt and friendly, just what is needed for a work lunch.
