Special world exclusive event!

5.0 out of 5.0

October 23, 2008

I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to see this temporary event this morning in the Antenna Gallery. It's the launch of a new British effort to beat the land speed world record.

It's on 11-1 and 2-4 until Tuesday 28th October, and you can get a close up look at the engines, rockets and models of what the car (if you can call it that - it's basically a rocket on wheels!) will look like. There's poeple from the project to tell you all about it. I found it really interesting so I'm not that into engineering, so I reckon lots of people would like to see it.

Good excuse to get down to the Museum anyway and do a bit of exploring!
