disappointing

Had a very disappointing experience. Service was poor, they were out of the wine I picked. I even had a dish brought out frozen, sent it back and it came out half cold and half warm. On the 3rd try, I canceled it. Our server was rude, when I handed him my menu after ordering, he snapped that he would take it in a second. The manager gave a free bottle of wine for the poor service, but I would not go back. The gardens were closed for a private party, which was not told to me when I made the reservation and specifically asked about it. The food was good, but it could not make up for the pitiful service.

Posh Nosh

I work right next door to the Roof Gardens and have had the luxury of dining at Babylon a few times. I absolutely love the place (if you're feeling a little fruity and have money to burn, that is - or, if you have friends that'll happily sponsor you to eat) and will always go back. The service is second-to-none - even when busy - and the staff are extraordinarily polite.

But, of course, what else do you expect when spending so much? The food is exquisite, arrives within twenty minutes of ordering; however, the portions are small. This would be my only gripe with the place.

The view is tremendous for central London; on a summer's day the balcony is excellent. There's a bar/club attached and the actual Roof Gardens are also a pleasant must-see.

They'll take your coat and serve you with a friendly smile. What more could you want?
