Fantastic service, great people - I booked in here as a new client for a cut and blow dry. They fitted me in at the last minute on a Friday and Katie who did my hair was brilliant. She really understood what I wanted and spent ages with me chatting about how I wanted my hair to look (as I can be really fussy) and we had a trial at putting my hair up for a posh wedding I was going to. I also had a spray tan(fabulous colour and really natural)
I went back the next day and had my hair put up, it looked amazing. There was a buzzy atmosphere in the salon and I felt thoroughly looked after. I will definitely be returning here. I highly recommend it.

Terrible colour & customer service - I was on the hunt to find a good local salon; I believe it is important to support local businesses as and when possible. I went to Waters Hair Stylists as it fits this bill and seemed well recommended.

I had a full-head of highlights using the organic range that they offered. Unfortunately I came away from the appointment with significant roots still; the foils were too fair away from the scalp (I have been having my hair highlighted for 10 years and have never before had this outcome). I was not offered a special conditioning treatment (which I would expect with a full-head of colour) and the regular conditioner I had was on for about 30 seconds (I felt very much like I was being rushed out). Consequently I had noticeable hair loss and breakage until I went to another salon for an intensive treatment which has helped.

This unpleasant experience set me back £65; the only thing I would say is that the actual colour that was achieved was good.

I know that it must be bad as two-weeks after my appointment my partner who wouldn’t normally notice if I was walking around with a chicken on my head said “when are you getting your hair done, your roots look terrible?” so I know how obvious they were…I would expect that after six weeks of re-growth, but not two!

I am not the kind of person that likes to complain for the sake of it, but I will if I think it is necessary. I tried calling to speak to the proprietor Rose Waters but did not receive a call back so I emailed in, I think any business worth its stuff would want to know if a customer had come away very unhappy. No reply to that email! I have followed that up with another to say that I have no choice but to write a review such as this (an accurate one) because I believe that the information on the website is deceptive. To claim that they offer an "unparalleled level of service and customer satisfaction" is nothing short of a lie.

I would not recommend this salon to anyone based on the way in which my complaint was dealt with alone (let alone the unskilled stylist). I would have been happy if they had come back to me and apologised and offered some explanation and thanked me for my constructive feedback. It could be that my experience was a one-off but then who is to say that someone else may end up with bad-hair and a pocket short of £65 AND having to go elsewhere and spend yet more money and waste more time rectifying someone else’s incompetence! I wouldn’t want someone else to be in those shoes, especially with a permanent “bad-hair-day” to contend with!

Waters Hairstylists - I discovered Waters three years ago after a disastrous cut and colour at Selfridges. Rose and her girls put me at ease right from the start and within no time, and in Rose's expert hands, the dreadful colour was all gone and my hair was looking better than it ever had. I've been going to Waters ever since and see no reason to change. It's always a pleasure to go there and I can't recommend Waters highly enough.

I love this salon! - You are always guaranteed a friendly welcome, great service and a fantastic colour and cut. I've tried most of the top salons in town but always return to Water's.They are now organic as well and Katy works her magic with the ghds like no other!
