Top notch!!

5.0 out of 5.0

After have read 3 very good reviews here on Tipped and living just around the corner from this place I just had to go and try it myself. With latin american food being one of my favourites my expectations were sky high and Sabor fulfilled them all. I liked everything from the interior to the music to the staff and the most important of all, the food! For starter I had the scallops fried in passion fruit butter, with mango salsa, jalapeno/basil pesto with Andean corn bread. And for main I had pan-fried fillet of sea bass with coriander-infused rice and peas and a saffron and coconut milk tomato sauce. Delicious!!!!
I have never had latin american food that tasty outside of latin amerika before, Im definately coming back!

Eclectic South American Spot

This is a really cool place. The shape is a long rectangle, cool lighting, artsy bull masks on wall, great mohito and great food. I highly recommend it. It could easily be a romantic spot or a cool spot to go with a bunch of friends or if you wanted a quiet meal alone.

Go there.

My partner took me here as a surprise for my 30th birthday and he couldn't have picked a better place. The atmosphere was buzzing and laid back and the staff were very attentive.
The food was fantastic I had red snapper wrapped in a banana leaf which was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal and one person in our party said that his steak was the best he had ever had!

Make sure you try the chocolate cake!!!

Latin Yumness at decent price

5.0 out of 5.0

I had yet to discover many Latin American restaurants until I found Sabor. The decor is modern-loungy-funky with white walls, hot pink or orange tables and a long bar filled with colourful bottles. The drinks are pricey but worth it - £6 for their Margarita de Maracuya, their speciality which is like a passion fruit margarita. It was delicious and went down too easy. Their starters and mains are reasonably priced: £4-£6 for a starter and £10-£14 for a main.

I had the Ceviche Peruano which is cod filled cold- cooked with lime juice, chilli, ginger coriander served with sweet potatoes, red onions and toasted corn. It was amazing! My friend had their Argentinean steak marinated is special spices and grilled to perfection, again, top notch. And my husband had Lomo de Cerdo Relleno which is roasted pork loin stuffed with apples, prunes and apricots served with sweet potato mash and a tomato Sofrito. Yum!

The staff were so friendly. The owner is from Columbia and the waitress we had is as well. Sadly, none of the dishes are from Columbia. Hopefully we can get them to add that soon.
