Wow

Wow...I just joined tipped and was browsing newcastle for any businesses I knew...wasn't at all surprised to see "the number one" listed here with a bad review! I haven't had anything like that but the two times I've been in there the service was shocking, surly staff, and the second time our food was stone cold. Learned my lesson after that.

Manipulative Staff

Terrible.
The waitresses tried to charge myself and a friend for food despite only sitting down for a drink with friends who were eating. They refused to accept that we had not ordered any food and in the end I was forced to ask them to call the police into resolve the conflict.

When the policeman told them that they could not charge for a service I had not requested or knowingly agree’d to have they threatened to file a complaint against the police officer and take me to a small claims court… for the grand total of £11.

Overall I was left with the sinking feeling that they were merely trying to take advantage of the fact that I was young to manipulate me into paying for something I hadn’t asked for. I will most certainly never return to that restaurant - and am most probably banned, but also feel slightly sheepish about the whole area now.
