We spent a lazy Sunday afternoon at the Mitre celebrating my birthday. Hooray! Woo! I was looking for something chilled, sofas were a must. The Mitre delivered, and was a nice mix of cosy pub without being 'too old man / coupley'. Food was excellent - somewhat pricey for pub grub but it really was the nicest fish & chips I've had in a long while. The place is a little tatty around the edges, but if you don't mind that, it's a great place to while away an afternoon.
