Cafe Boheme

Cafe Boheme is indicative of Soho: a buzzing restaurant serving good food and a big bar with lots of wines open 24 hours a day at the weekend. A must in London. They also have a late license and live Jazz nights.

This is the current venue for likemind, interesting meet-up of interesting souls (likemind.us) started by psfk.com, which is why I go there. It was interesting to read dipti b’s review of it as an evening place because in my mind it is a breakfast spot.

While I look forward to meeting lovely people, I also look forward to my monthly pear juice and poached eggs. It’s an absolute treat to have breakfast cooked for you in your own city and the breakfast here is pretty darn good. Also worth a namecheck (except I don’t know her name) is the lovely blond waitress who serves us on those Friday mornings – she’s super nice!

But I definitely think I will broaden my horizons in the future and do dinner or drinks in the days to come.

I've now been to Cafe Boheme twice in two weeks and wasn't disappointed. The first time it was well past bedtime and the place was nearly closing. Had time to enjoy their very nice champagne and my friend had a very "authentic" Mojito as well. The second time around was in desperate times. Having spent too many hours in the bars and realising that all of London's kitchens had closed (11pm), we were pleased to discover that CB serves food until 2:30am. And decent French food. The frites are especially great. I would definitely recommend this place for the night owls.
