Cocoon restaurant is subdivided into six dining cocoons, two with sushi bars, and a bar and lounge area. The cuisine is inspired by food halls across Asia, with the emphasis on everyone sharing plates placed in the middle of the table.

I’ve been to Cocoon twice now and both times really enjoyed it. They are consistent. I would say it’s mostly Japanese and similar cuisine to Roka as they serve up sushi and sashimi; miso soup; baked sea bass and other fishes; grilled asparagus and bok choy; and have various delicious meat dishes such as lamb chop and seared waygu beef. The food is really good and prepared uniquely with wonderful presentations. Although I didn’t have one of the desserts, they look amazing – chocolate fondant, pear tarte and blueberry soufflé. All desserts were devoured instantly as was the dinner.

The service is ordinary; many waitstaff running around and multiple one’s working at your table but a lot of chaos and confusion happening, but something I feel is typical for restaurants in London.

The atmosphere is top notch. As it’s near Piccadilly, a lot of young people or after work crowds go there for a cocktail. It’s great for groups or entertaining clients as they have a lot of large tables. It’s very retro, with white walls, white pod-like chairs and bright colours splashed here and there.

You don’t feel rushed to leave and in fact, at 11pm it turns into a Lounge that has DJ’s and stays open until 3am. So from dinner you can stay put and enjoy the new scenery.

Because of the location it is the perfect place to have dinner before going out to the clubs.
The food is very good Asian style.
Also the design of the restaurant is great, stylish and intimate at the same time.

Also excellent to just go to the bar for some drinks.

this is a great resturant if you are in the West End as it is right on Regent St, and is such a big venue that i was even able to get a table for 8 the week before Christmas. However the way they have laid out the restaurant with the bar in the middle and lots of pod like rooms it doesn't feel like you are ratteling around even if you are the only ones in there. The low round tables, and space age green pod chairs are comfortable and ad to the funky vibe of the restaurant.

The food is all asian, with a selection of Sushi, dim sum, tempura and main courses. One plus is unlike some asian restaurants the menu is only 3 pages long so it is easy to order. the Soft shell crab tempura was particularly good, as were the lamb chops with asapragas.
