general store of awesomeness

Brushfield St has some of the cutest shops / coffee places in the whole of London. Its a really old area with loads of history, Jack the Ripper used to roam around here and in later years its been inhabited by the likes of Tracy Emin.

Anyway a few of the shops have styled themselves on 1800s style general stores - lots of wood and organic products probably made out the back of the store. I've been here to buy apples once and they were really good and then today I went to get a coffee and the lady working there was super chatty. The coffee was awesome and only £1.50.

They've got loads of stuff like balsamic vinegar and nice olive oils lining the shelves and they seem to sell loads of posh chocolates.

If you're in the area I'd definitely check it out.
