Please note that as a former employee of Arthur Beale, London (1999-2004), that:
1st, This is not a SHIPS Chandler, as listed! it is a Yacht Chandler (Over 400 years)! Very different!
We did not sell Shipping Supplies like groceries, oil etc.! We catered to the Yachting folk. It is a small business who's 1st priority is customer satisfaction.
In my 5 years of working there I used our Yaching based product knowledge to supply customers with various available products while offering best suited and lateral thinking choices to help them decide on the best purchases for their personal needs. This often involvled leangthly discusions.
We dealt with many different requests from: Redisign of bathrooms, theatrical productions, to architectual students personel projects. We loved to spend time with our customers. I loved my work there and am very dissapointed at the thought that this is listed as a (Ships Chandler). If I could change this I would. I only hope that people will explore this wonderfull shop for themselves. Dean.
