A 'Lock-in' with a difference!

Set in the former Great Marlborough Street Magistrate's Court, where Oscar Wilde was tried in 1895. Some of the Great and not so good temporary residents include Napolean III, John Lennon, Keith Richards and Sir Mick Jagger.

Opposite Liberty's just off Carnaby St. ‘The Bar’ is a handy meeting spot for me in Central London. It has a clubby atmosphere, emphasized by low seating, a wall-length glass bar and a monochrome design scheme of black and white leather. The three former Ladies Cells are retained, though upgraded, to offer intimate, private booths, complete with bunk bed and ice-bucket charmingly fashioned from the original Victorian lavatory! There's also a rooftop terrace, swimming pool, 2 restaurants and one of London's largest private cinemas.
