The Cure for the London Blues
January 26, 2008
I didn't realise how jaded I'd become about London restautants until I stepped through the door of Mosob last night. Within seconds I felt lighter and happier. It's simple, warm and nice. Each of the staff greated us with a wide smile. The ecelectic clientele all seemed like people you'd want to be friends with. Our waiter took time to explain the menu with infectious enthusiasm. Could it get better? Yes - The Eritrean food was delicious. You're encouraged to eat with your hands, though utensils are available upon request. We had a starter and two vegetarian dishes which arrived with a large platter of injera flatbread. The courses seemingling lept from the platter into our mouths. It was a feast of complimentary flavours. And all of this (including drinks) for under 25 quid? I do believe we'll be returning regularly. Book a few days ahead. It seems like its tough to get same day bookings, especially on weekends. p.s. this is really much closer to Maida Vale than to St. John's Wood.
