It's all about the Flavour

4.0 out of 5.0

I've been here twice now over the past two months, which in itself is a good sign especially given the stiff competition from the range of media hang-outs that line the sides of nearby Charlotte Street.

A quick geography lesson - if it's sunny and warm, book a table outside on the pavement. Inside, I'd go for the ground floor and avoid being stuffed at the back. There's also downstairs which is good for bigger parties. And somewhere in between, a wee cubby hole for four - especially good if the chat gets roudy.

As for the food, the tapas is both Spanish and Italian influenced which makes it imaginative and lighter than traditional style. Wonderful distinct flavours. Staff are really helpful at explaining the menu and you can keep ordering. Dishes (£5-£7 each) are small making it easy to try lots but the bill can rack up.

Wines too are Spanish and Italian and may be from areas you're not familiar with - again it's about trying something new but knowing it'll be pretty good all the same.

Equally good for just a glass of wine or a cocktail after work helped along with some quince and queso manchego
