Great breakfasts any time of day

You can't beat this quirky little cafe for traditional British fare. The mix'n match breakfasts are always wonderful at any time of day and it's packed with an eclectic clientele of professionals, builders, grannies and the odd music producer. The seating is hard (benches in the main) and you occasionally have to share a table with a stranger, but the food makes up for it. Alice, the lovely waitress with the ever-changing hair colour, appears to possess an encyclopedic memory, rarely having to ask regulars what they'd like to order. Blandfords is recommended for a quick bite to eat and is definitely not in the "greasy spoon" category. Closed for much of August, when they take a well-earned break.
