Quirky and delicious

So yeah, a 7 course tasting menu set me back £60 but damn, I have to admit it was probably worth it.

My boyfriend and I went here recently for a special treat to ourselves for nothing in particular and we had an amazing time. It's not pretentious at all, in fact the whole atmosphere was very laid back and almost quite clubby. I'm really pleased I went for the tasting menu, as a non-expert when it comes to food I really enjoyed it and they'd obviously thought about putting together a menu that covered a range of food and styles. Some of it was really experiment 'BLT' in a martini glass, anyone? But others were real classic dishes beautifully cooked and served.

Fantastic staff, great atmosphere, beautiful food that was a real experience. I can't really fault it apart from the fact that it comes in at quite a lot more than a KFC bargain bucket.

Amazing (sorry!)

Yep this is a splurge restaurant, but for a special treat (or when the company expenses are out!), be sure to try out Maze. The concept is that you have lots of small plates to try out (like tapas, but with an English flavour). The food is to die for and its great to be able to try so many great concotions at once. The service is both discreet and friendly and the bar is a lovely place to while away the afternoon - hic! Do try this out, its a great place

Gourmet Food for Sharing

This is a great place to come with a group of friends. Modern european food done tapas style - perfect for sharing. Have been three times now, and each time has been excellent. The setting is buzzy, the service is great, and the food is so good you'll want to try everything on the menu - so don't wear anything tight :)

Too fussy

The food's great, the wine list is excellent (we had a Californian Zinfandel from 2001 which was delicious)but the whole experience is just a bit too OTT. If you like your food served with a real flourish, then this is definitely the place to try.

This is my favourite place to go for dinner, Gordon has outdown himself on creating an experince that is fun, enjoyable, creative, alternative and you even get to drink a lot and not have to eat too much to try lots of flavours...I LOVE THIS PLACE!
