Ping Pong's first restaurant opened in London's Soho, architect David Marquardt and brand designer Niclas Sellebršten having developed an interior architecture and style that is contemporary yet respectful of the traditions of dim sum cuisine. Combining a sense of relaxed order with warmth and comfort, the restaurant possesses its own distinctive atmosphere, yet at the same time defines the ideal of the modern dim sum restaurant everywhere. There are now several branches across London.

Great dim sum

4.0 out of 5.0

October 31, 2007

I went to Ping Pong on Friday with a friend and at first I was dubious to go as I’m not to keen on dim sum, (even though I had been before). Ping Pong has a distinctive atmosphere and it’s really hard to put the chopsticks down, as the food is amazing and there was lots of vegetarian options which was great too. The service was really good and I couldn’t believe how attentive the staff were. The waitress realised that we had ordered some dips which were not vegetarian and because all our other dishes were vegetarian she came back and asked us if we wanted the dips. It tends to be quite crowded and you need to wait for a table but you tend to get it pretty fast and while your waiting you can enjoy their amazing cocktails.Even with a few cocktail, the prices at Ping Pong are very good. I will definatley be going back very soon!

Good collection of different dim sum. Great cocktails especially enjoyable with a large group of friends.
The jasmin tea is also a real treat.

Good quality dim sum

Ping Pong offers good quality dim sum at reasonble prices. There is never a long wait for food although you can sometimes find yourself waiting to get a table at these popular restaurants!
I'm from Sydney and I've grown up on dim sum (`yum cha` there) so I can confidently recommend this place for those seeking good quality chinese.
A good venue if you're in a rush, with a large group of people, or looking to try a variety of different flavours.

Healthy fast food

Ping Pong is a reliable lunch or pre-gig option. Its quick, cheap and relatively healthy. We are addicted to the Char Sui (pork) steamed buns. All the steamed dumplings are great but watch you don't burn your mouth. Try the cocktails too.
