Absolutely love this place. It has the glamour and sophistication of what you would expect from the Dorchester without the pretensions. Look out for the mysterious suited head waiter (manager?) that floats around making sure its all running smoothly. Last time we had to wait more than 10 minutes for the bill he offered us drinks and on Saturday he helped move us to a preferred table when it was all fairly busy and we didn't have reservation. The food is just delicious and really fresh tasty produce..

The best place to go for Chinese food in luxurious surroundings. The bar faintly resembles the Orient Express and the dining room is all traditional Chinese architecture and bookshelves (which were a bit dusty on our last visit!) Don't forget to visit the loos - they are beautifully appointed and amusingly, poetry is read on a loop in there instead of traditional muzak. The food is fine if not spectacular, but fairly inexpensive dim sum can be had there at lunchtime. So all in all, a great place to go to enjoy the lush surroundings at a reasonable price as long as food doesn't have to be the main event.

The best duck pancakes in London!

You'd expect a Park Lane Chinese restaurant to be over-rated...not this one! The decor may be very Park Lane and art deco, but the food is unmissable! I have never been anywhere where the duck pancakes have been so tender...will never opt for shredded bits again!
