Special Toffee = Ambrosia

I don't specifically recall when I first encountered Thorntons, but if I did that would probably become an important feast day in my own religion. The special toffee, which is frankly the only thing I've ever bought from Thorntons (allegedly a "chocolatier") and it's all I need to make me happy.
There have been days when I was down on my luck or in a bad mood, and I popped in for one of the small bags (£1) and it immediately cheered me up far more than any candy bar might have. There are also larger bags and gift boxes that I have found make you a very welcome guest. Usually when I go back to visit friends in the states, I bring a box with me and people are always raving about the stuff.
Basically, the special toffee is my version of ambrosia, the food of the gods.
