Absolut Icebar London is the first permanent icebar in the UK located in the heart of London. Experience the extreme - the Icebar is kept at minus 5 degrees year around and everything inside is made out of crystal clear ice coming from the Torne River in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden. Step into an environment where the walls, bar, tables, and even your own personal glass holding the vodka drinks is made out of ice. The Icebar is operated in 45 minute time slots and you will be given a cape to keep you warm for your visit.

Gimmicky Ice fun

4.0 out of 5.0

November 26, 2007

I've been here a couple of times now, it is a great gimmick bar, and definitely worth taking those friends/family that visit from outside of the M25.
Drinks are indeed pretty expensive unless you can stretch supping on the one drink included in your admission price (£14 if i remember rightly).
On my last visit I stupidly placed my drink onto a table, choosing to ignore the oil slick from someone else's drink, and so my "ice glass" slid off the edge of the table and became part of the interior....foolish as I didn't realise until I approached the barmaid that a replacement glass cost £4 (£10 for a 2nd drink and new glass!), however.......They do keep a rather large stash of fresh cut glasses to one side of the bar, so if you have a willing band of merry men...you can successfully "discover" another glass rather quickly....I obviously did not do this....and wouldn't suggest anyone else attempts it....
Anyways - definitely worth a visit early on in a west end evening.

Absolut Ice Bar is a very very cool bar. It is an excellent place to start an evening. If your looking for soemthing different, somewhere to chill out and relax this is a great place. Ice Bar entry ticket lasts for only 40 minutes and the drinks are very expensive even though you get a complimentary drink with your ticket. This place is definatley worth a visit once.

How cool can a place get......about minus 5 if you go to the Icebar!
This is a great place to go if you are looking for an alternative night out. The whole place is made of ice, includng the bar and the glasses. The entrance fee is £12 which includes a vodka cocktail, this may seem a bit pricey but worth it for it for the novelty value.
I would recommend booking and also going for an early slot, as when we left at 6 people were queuing out of the door.

Chill Out - Londons Ice Bar

4.0 out of 5.0

Great for doing something different with your mates, even if just to laugh at everyone dressed like an eskimo.

One drink is included in the entrance price and so it should be for £14 per person.

Be aware that if you have your photo done inside the icebar - the photographer takes a while to develop it meaning you have to wait in the upstairs bar and pay the expensive cocktail prices.

But for a special night out it's something different.
