Michael Van Clarke's salon was not only the nicest salon i've ever been to but the best cut I have ever had. I was a little worried that the salon would be intimidating but I walked in and instantly felt at ease! The stylist really listened to what I had to say and chose a style to suit my lifestyle-so that it didn't take too long to recreate at home. I left feeling confident and stylish and just had to go shopping afterwards, not only to show off my hair but to get fashionable new clothes to perfect my transformation!! I honestly think that everyone should try out the Michael Van Clarke Marylebone salon!It was just perfect!

I was living in London for five months, and had two haircuts while I was there. For both, I spent about 2.5x more than I have ever spent before on a haircut. The first place I went in Soho did an ok job, but not memorable. Hence, I decided to try a new salon for my next haircut. I went there at the beginning of May, and had Leigh cut my hair. The atmosphere of the salon is very relaxing, clean, and inviting. The staff made me feel very welcome. Even the shampooing part felt relaxing and comfortable with a head massage, as opposed to some salons where my neck hurts and feels tense during and afterwards. I was a huge fan of the dry cutting technique. It really does make a noticeable difference! I went home and all 4 of my roommates loved my hair! Also, since it was my first visit, they gave me a shampoo and conditioner to take home, as well as a complimentary blowout within two weeks, and if I booked again by June, a free manicure with my cut.
I was very appreciative of how much time and consideration Leigh took to cut my hair so it would look its best and to fit my low-maintenance routine. He was very personable and helpful. I can't say enough about what a great mood I was in when I left. I was so excited to come back for the blowout. It was great too! Leigh asked how I wanted it blown-out, so I let him try something new. He did it in waves. I went back into work that afternoon, and people loved it! I gave the salon information to my supervisor, who was so excited too. She told me I needed to go out that night it looked so good! My friends at home loved it too! My only wish is that I lived there now and it could be my regular salon. It was the first time that I felt like I would actually be loyal to a salon, and sad that I could not physically go there, but hope that this will make others want to go. The next time I am in London though, I will definitely book an appointment!

I visited the Michael Van Clarke salon having been recommended by a friend. My expectations were high and I was far from disappointed.
The salon is extremely welcoming and I felt instantly relaxed and at ease. The stylist listened to the style I was looking for and produced the best hair cut I have ever had. The salons signature Diamond Dry Cut is unique, they wash your hair, dry it and cut it once its dry. The result is that it hangs better and is easy to style at home. I didn't think that I would be able to create the same look at home but it is so managable that two weeks later I still feel like my hair looks as good as it did on the day.
I will definitely be visiting the salon again and would advise anyone else to do the same. The experience of the salon as a whole is well worth a visit!
