Grangetastic!

You know that mythical location, Shangri-la... welcome to The Grange.

There is so much right with this place I'm going to just start by running through some of what's on offer; good beer - it's a CAMRA pub, with the delectable seasonal Youngs 'Winter Warmer' available for not much longer, good wine - a nice St-Emilion included, decent seating - whether you fancy reclining in a wingback or gathering with friends around a table, good service from efficient staff, good food and a decent sized garden ready for summer!

I went for a lazy late lunch and was delighted. I had the goat's cheese and sun dried tomato bruschetta followed by an excellent lamb burger. Then la pièce de résistance, sticky toffee pudding. It arrived as a scarily large slice with a scoop of quality vanilla ice cream and at first glance I thought I was overmatched, I couldn't possibly eat all of it! Once I tucked in however I found it was cooked to perfection, not too heavy and so I was able to wolf down the lot!
I will be going again, if only for dessert! Maybe I'll see you there?
