Leather Bottle

I just signed up as Tipped gave me the suggestion for Sunday Roast at the Leather Bottle. I just want to say that it was the most amazing place to be for a lazy Sunday afternoon. We all got a roast, beef, lamb and I had the nut roast. It came out hot, with all the bells and whistles. I have been let down of late with gastro pubs changing the traditional roast, when all we want is the traditional slap up roast that your nan would be proud of. The service was amazing, the acoustics were just right and even thought the fire wasn't going, the dim lighting and candle lighting set the mood for a lazy Sunday afternoon, evening. I DEF recommend this. It has afterall won awards and I am very proud of this little find.

Massive Park-like Beer Garden

This is one of my favourite bars to chill on weekends. In Summer it has great BBQ's in the huge grassed beer garden, in the Winter real log fires in the grate, all round the real Village Pub atmosphere. Sunday roasts, friendly staff, cosy seating areas and great food. Even a decent sized car park. Be warned though if you have a problem with lots of sprogs running around on the weekend.
