Clean Pub, Good Lunch

The first thing that hit me when I walked into Samuel Pepys was that it didn't smell like a pub -- you know, that old beer on a wet bar rag smell? It was a welcome relief, and as I looked around, I started liking the pub even more.

There's a pool table, a well stocked bar, and a pretty long menu of decently priced food (about £6 a plate) which didn't disappoint. I got a veggie burger, which I enjoyed. It was served steaming hot, as were the chips. The people I was with also had a burger and fish and chips, and both enjoyed their meals immensely.
