Gorgeous character to the shop, but the service is pretty shockingly slow. Place is usually a mess, with dirty plates covering every table. Hmm didn't plan on writing a scathing review at all but once you've got the service out of the way it is a pretty charming little cafe. Oh but the free wifi is a huge plus!

Breakfast for Lunch

4.0 out of 5.0

August 18, 2008

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day, as well as being the most important. But in this country it is still sadly very underrated. Which is why I was keen to visit the breakfast club. And I wasn't disappointed.

My dining partner dutifully tried out the full monty - a proper british fry up, while I (because I couldn't justify pancakes for lunch) tried out a No. 3 salad. Both were excellent, especially the salad which was really filling, well put together, and not dripping in dressing which is a personal pet hate.

The menu though is really dedicated to breakfasts and I may have to get up a bit earlier one of these days and get there in time to have a proper start to my day.

Things to remember...
1. get there early for both breakfast and lunch, it's tiny and gets pretty busy
2. say hello to the vulture - he's just pretty cool
3. pick up a free badge - i love free shit.

Things I'd improve...
This place needs a proper 80s soundtrack - they've got the vinyl singles on the wall, they just need to start playing them.

Cosy, decent food/coffee, free wifi

There aren't *that* many cafes in London with free wifi, reasonable food and a nice ambience. This is one of them. Recommended for virtualised people. ;)
