Indie rock music venue
March 20, 2008
I love going to KOKO and maybe it’s because every time I’ve been, I’ve seen really good bands. But the venue itself also makes the experience because it’s old school with high ceilings, a stage, balconies, etc, on what was once a proper theatre. You just get a good feeling when you’re in there. The acoustics are pretty good too and for the most part, you can see the stage from every place. The bars are always packed but at least there are a couple of them so the wait to get a drink isn’t too long. Seeing a good band in a small venue is ideal; I can’t do the big stadiums anymore and find these venues much more enjoyable and memorable.
