This place is great; they have a vast wine list with something for all budgets that would boggle my mind if it weren't for the friendly staff that know it backwards. The food is amazing too, I had a bavette steak that meted in my mouth and everything that went past my table gave me meal envy.
If you just want to hang-out and drink wine, that's cool too- there's a bar and some high tables to one side.
It's run by two guys who are really passionate about wine and just want to make it accessible to everybody, regular, informal tasting evenings and knowledgeable staff back that up- they're on the way to success in their mission.

I will begin by being honest, I work at Vinoteca, and this review is super biased. However, I could not work for and promote a place that I did not believe in and love, which is why almost three years later, I am still working at Vinoteca! I came from Canada, knowing very little about food & wine, and have learned loads over the years thanks to Vinoteca and the London food & wine scene in general. Vinoteca has delicious seasonal food, a menu that changes in some way daily, along with an amazing and affordable wine list to match, all in a chilled out environment, where being a wine snob is frowned upon. We also have a private room, which is an amazing place for birthday celebrations. Any feedback on Vinoteca would be welcomed, and of course any questions please contact me!

A lot of places call themselves wine bars but they really aren't. Vinoteca is however. They serve loads of wines by the glass; their staff are very knowledgeable about each wine; the crowd is good; and the food is great. The only drawback is it's busy and you can't book a table. We usually just sit at the bar to eat and drink and talk to the friendly staff. They need more of these in London.
