Great soups and noodles for a cold winter's rainy night. Cheap and healthy!

There are a few things I like about Pho.
The place is quant and cozy, the service is suberb and the food is fresh, yummy and healthy. There was plenty to choose from on the menu and on my first visit I went with the Bhun. Man was that good! Bhun consists of noodles and a little soup in it (not as much soup as the Pho). It was bursting with flavour and freshness!!! I reckon everything on that menu is good and I plan on going back there to try it out. I can't stres enough how fresh and healthy and flavorful it was.

As for service, my friend Joel ordered a really spicy Pho and he might have been hallucinating and sweating from it and then out of nowhere, our waiter comes over with a glass of milk to soothe the burn. Who does that in London? Gives you something you need when you don't ask for it? That's how attentive the staff is.

Highly recommend Pho!

At last, I have found my favourite Vietnamese place! Hoorah! I’ve reviewed 2 others on Tipped, one okay and one not so okay, but this one is excellent!

They have about 10 different types of Pho to choose from (all under £7) plus Bhun in soup form or the usual noodle form with the spring roll and peanuts on top (that’s how it’s supposed to be done). We also shared a Vietnamese crepe which, albeit not the healthiest thing on the menu, was delicious. It’s a deep fried crepe served over your prawns, chicken or tofu, bean sprouts and lettuce cups. You mash the crepe down and then scoop it into the lettuce cups and dip in the sauce. Fun and yummy. Their summer rolls were also fresh and tasty although it was the usually dipping sauce that I can’t recall the name, but I like the peanut dipping sauce so ended up using their plum sauce to dip them into. My only complaint was the tofu in the soup was deep friend so I won't have that anymore. My friends had the lemongrass chicken and loved it.

Service was attentive and the staff friendly and we were able to get a table within 5 minutes of arriving in a packed place. They even brought my husband a cup of milk because he made his Pho too hot. I guess milk gets rid of the spice.

Pho does simple, well.

EAT While 'pho' (the noodle-based Vietnamese 'meal in a bowl') is probably the main feature on the menu, there is no shortage of options if you don't happen to feel like noodles - I've had two of the salad bowls and tried the crepes and reccommend all of these for one key reason: unfaltering freshness. Flavour-wise you basically get what it says on the label, as any dressings are light allowing the ingredients to speak for themselves (up to you how much chilli sauce you add...) What makes me return and return again is knowing that whether I go for vege crepes, prawn noodles or tofu I'll get a meal produced from that day's market ingredients. DRINK Going always for one of the Asian beers on offer I can't comment on other options - but the beer is good: of the region so as you'd expect it suits the menu. FEEL I've only ever been on a Friday night but can't imagine there's much difference between nights - always lively without being too loud for a conversation; very friendly, informal service; clean, light, airy. TOP TIP My number one tip would be a starter of summer rolls (rice paper filled with your choice of chicken/ pork/ veg). So simple. So delicious. PRICE Two starters, two mains, a couple of bottles of beer each and the Hub. and I can leave replete and happy for under £30 (tipping excluded).
