Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Holborn, Na Zdrowie is a quaint Polish Bar that is a shrine to all that vodka bestows. The staff are friendly, and they have an extensive knowledge of the spirit and are on hand to give information on anything relating to vodka. A variety of Polish dishes are also served to enjoy with your drinks.

Polski bar!

4.0 out of 5.0

This place is pretty fun. It's tucked away, as they say, pretty much right behind the Holborn tube station. The space isn't huge, and it definitely can get packed with the after work crowd, but it's a pretty nice place to meet for a drink provided your group isn't too large. There are some booth-like tables on one side of the room and higher stools and tables in the middle, suitable for seated and standing people chatting together. The loos are downstairs, which is a bit perilous after a few too many.
I have to admit I haven't had vodka here, but they do have an impressive looking range behind the bar. I satisfied myself with Polish beers, instead, and there was an impressive number of them on display, too. I went with Lech because it came in an impressive big green bottle. Not bad! In fact, after I had two or three, the stuff started tasting better and better (funny, that). After the place gets real crowded and you start hearing more Polish than English being spoken, the time might be right to make a break for it, but between the proximity and relatively reasonable price, I think I'll be saying na zdrowie more often.
