I am totally converted to lamb -I found it stinky and oily, and tried to master lamb trauma many times with no success until yesterday - after a visit to Afghan kitchen. I love their simple menu that doesn't confuse with too much choice.
Lamb with spinach is sublime, soft and tender meat, with intense flavour, all served with rice or red lentils mash...pumpkin, aubergine all in creamy, thick yogurt sauce, great bread ( sort of naan) - Amazing food to share. Once it's served the interior doesn't matter any more.
There's also chicken, fish but as above - Laaaamb!
Go for the lamb!
Afghanistan definately is the travel destination these days and I bet it's thank to the food!
