Cool shop for adults and kids

Kinda tricky to describe really. It sort of sells everything. My mum used to take me there when I was a kid. My parents old, shabby sofa is from there. It's a furniture shop; sells old iron beds, 1940s desks, but then also has a whole toy shop on the side that feels like the type of toyshop that used to exist before they all closed down. It's the kind of place that it's difficult to leave without buying something, even if its just a sherbet fountain. I was just looking for the opening hours and just found their website, which is kinda weird and funny and sort of feels a bit like their shops - www.afternoah.com - go there sometime, they're kinda fun...

What a cool store - I never would have imagined that a hybrid furniture/toy store would ever work, but After Noah pulls it off. True, this is one of those stores that fits in the stuff-you-don't-actually-need-at-inflated-prices category, but the stuff is so fun that you can easily convince yourself that you do need it - as much a toy store for adults as for kids. Anything from garden chairs to stuffed animals can be found in here, but they only stock interesting things no matter what. Plus the store has a great aroma of wood and polish that's as pleasing as the smell of an old bookstore (and the aroma's free).
