No Boys Allowed

I'm not a feminist. I do believe that men are useful- at least to procreation so pure feminism will exist but will never win.
Yesterday I was wandering around that 'worse' part of Notting Hill (Ladbroke Grove exactly) and found a small gallery called Beverley Knowles Fine Art. Its name sounded too 'posh' for me but I took a risk...It turned out that BKFA was the only art space dedicated strictly to British women artists and their works. (no boys allowed)
This time it's possible to see 'The Girls' show mixing photography and installation art- all by Andrea Blood and Zoe Sinclair. Being an art ignorant, I found those photos really funny.(but maybe the message was deeper and I simply didn't get it)
Obviously, the themes oscillate between different dimension of womanhood. They include gender, relationships, isolation and fun. My favourite photo was 'Smurfette' maybe because of the memories from my early childhood (in Poland we had The Smurfs only once a week on Sundays so I still love them) .
There's also a very interesting art element-a woman's body in the bed you may touch everywhere you want to...Sounds good, doesn't it?
