The Albion is a shrine to West Bromwich Albion FC, with real ales, a jukebox, darts and a large TV for sporting events. There is also a small beer garden.

Best. Footy. Pub. EVER!

5.0 out of 5.0

April 23, 2009

The Albion is named after West Brom... it's THAT much of a footy pub. I watched United v Portsmouth there last night (thank you Canal+ !) and had an awesome time. (I'm a United fan, and the West Brom thing was no issue at all.)

Highlights included:

- walls covered in pennants and scarves from every team imaginable.
- a flatscreen TV on a bracket set up AGAINST THE WINDOW!!! so that beer gardeners can still watch.
- no queue at the bar, at all.
- nice big, crisp screen.
- great bunch of fans who are all clearly SERIOUS footy fans... no shouting idiots.
- Chelsea on on the other TV (and they drew... brilliant!)

...and, best of all...

- homemade signs for an in the toilets. I won't ruin the surprise here.

Cannot recommend this place enough.

P.S. If you don't like football, you will hate it.
