Could it be that the pub that has everything actually has too much?

A very decent drinks range (albeit on the expensive side), good food, jazz piano, quiz nights, a wine club, tables outside, comfy seats inside, and feng shui to die for, makes for a usually enjoyable time at this medium sized pub on the Alexandra Palace/Muswell Hill borders.

However. They just don't seem to be able to cope with busy times. Friday after work and there is a predictable (one would have thought) influx of customers. They need three or four bar staff at this time: two is just not enough and leads to excessive waiting times at the bar. Worse still is the indifferent attitude of the staff: a simple "sorry to keep you waiting" would make the difference. Perhaps serving people in the order that they arrived at the bar would help as well.

Unfortunately, poor bar service has been experienced by this reviewer a few times now in this establishment and can't be discounted as a one-off.

It is hoped that they improve the staff situation because it is spoiling an otherwise great pub.
