Cool Relaxed people and Venue

I have been to the BBC a few times now and always had a fabby welcome by the staff. I went there for a little afternoon drinking ( steaming by the end of the night).
I had the UBU beer (4.5%) which at the time was told that this was the only bitter they had, anyway beer was lovely, really enjoyed it infact injoyed it so much had around 5-6 pints of it before moving on....my pal had a pint of Peroni and kept commenting on the crispness and freshness of it complemented by the liquid gold bubbles...he lives in Tower Bridge and frequents some of the more known/popular places and says tht in his humble opinion one of the best pints of Peroni he has had...Basically just a nice Unpretentious venue and they even have a CHESS club on a Monday night....god bliss....go on and have a pint you will not be disapointed people...

A strange, but cool step back in time

Imagine a lawn bowls club forty years ago. Now take away the bowling green and leave the decor exactly as it was back then. Dodgy old couches, score sheets still stuck on the wall and a dusty kinda feel, like it was frozen in time for a few decades.

I love it!

They do have a courtyard out the back, but it's crap. So I'd stick to the inside. I could imagine spending long afternoons / nights there in winter (I think there was an open fire), soaking up the atmosphere.

Go try it and make your own mind up...
