Cow bells karaoke, meat, meat

Completely agree with the other two reviews. This is a mandatory stop now whenever I am showing someone around London. The look on people's faces when a Lederhosen clad Austrian starts bashing the Sound of Music and popular hits complete with audience participation on cow bells is priceless. The meat platters, beer and cramped austrian dungeon like space make this the highlight of a trip to London.

Can't go wrong with cowbells

Seriously. How can you go wrong when you are hanging out in a basement drinking enormous steins of beer with your best mates and being entertained by an Austrian decked out in lederhosen sitting in a miniature hut playing cover songs from Sound of Music? That is the point! YOU CAN'T. Top it all off with a hardcore meat platter for two and walls covered in celebrity photos from the 80s and well...I'll let you decide.

I didn't even get to mention the cowbells. You'll have to go yourself and see what that is all about.

Bratwurst and beer

The Tiroler Hut is amusement epitomised with steins of beer, lots of choice of Austrian food - ranging from schnitzel to sauerkraut and marinated herring - and group singing (think The Sound of Music but totally off-key).

The serving staff are, indeed, decked out in Austrian garb and lederhosen and the highlight of the evening is a good singing show from a guy who is most definitely Japanese and not Austrian.

The Tiroler Hut is a must-do while you live in London. Take lots and lots of friends. And get to know the table next door - the whole restaurant turns into one big Austrian festival by the end of the evening.

Quite affordable and be sure to book (there were ques outside when we left).
