My experience with this store was a positive one. The range of dresses was fantastic; they had more varied styles than you find in some other shops. I also appreciated the honesty of the service I received: I didn't want a superficial fuss making of me, just nice dresses, and an honest opinion. Admittedly I had to try on dresses below my dress size, but hear from my friends that this is common in bridal shops: they can't stock every dress in every size and typically you take a size smaller with bridal dresses due to the fit of them, anyway. Other people's reviews nearly put me off going to this place but I was glad I did go

I went into this shop as a size 16 lady who wanted a bridesmaid dress. I am not originally from Leamington Spa, and so the lady - Heather - may have thought I was not serious about buying a dress as I was on my own. But my goodness - she looked me up and down - and was totally insulting in her manner and I actually burst into tears after leaving her shop! When she did finally show me some catalogues of dresses and I mentioned the ones I liked, she proceeded to bring out size 10's and 12's for me to try on!!??
The worst experience ever. I think this woman should seriously consider gong for customer service training. I was going to complain, but i recently found out (from the shop where I actually purchased my dress from) that this woman is the owner - so I guess there is not much point in that - all I can do is advise people not to go there. particularly prospective brides - goodness only knows how they would feel - I was only the bridesmaid after all.

Bad experience at Carisma

I have also had a poor experience at carisma. They didnt keep to the appt I made and instead tended to another B2B who had arrived late for her appt prior to mine by 40 mins!!.. My bridesmaid and I were shoved in the 'changing room' in between the counter and the kitchen - it was so small that I actually ended up in the kitchen whilst my bridesmaid tried on dresses.

I was so annoyed that we ended up walking out. I waited until I calmed down and then spoke to Heather about what had happened. She was not in the slightest bit apologetic and implied it was my fault for booking a Saturday appt. Nonetheless I rebooked for the following week and lo and behold, it was like Deja Vu.. same lack of service, friendliness and attention.

I went straight to the Bridal Boutique in Warwick where I couldnt have asked for better service. That same day I bought my wedding dress from Bridal Boutique and have never looked back.

GREAT DRESSES, GREAT SERVICE

I recently purchased my bridesmaids dresses from Carisma and i have to say that i totally disagree with what has been posted previously. Me and my bridesmaids were delighted with the dessy dresses. Only one fitting was required and they fitted perfectly and looked stunning. In fact i was that impressed i have now gone back and ordered myself an evening dress for a friends wedding. I also ended up getting my own wedding shoes & jewellery from Carisma and was very impressed with both.

I found Heather and olwyn to be really friendly and honest- which is what you need- and we ended up having a really good laugh with them.
I would highly recommend this shop.

Absolutely awful!

I am glad I did not actually end up here for my dress. I went in and the woman in there did not understand what I was asking for and made me feel as though I were being completetely unreasonable. I then went back for bridesmaids dress fitting and my mother ended up having a disagreement with her! Ended up going somewhere else in Warwick and had a joyful experience. I feel sorry for people who had to deal with this shop.

I was contacted by Tipped to redo my review of this shop as the owner of the shop did not agree with my previous opinion. Therefore I think it only fair that I rewrite my review to be less emotive and simply state that my experience with this shop was not a good one and would advise anyone against going here for their wedding dress.

This is such a fabulous shop... Heather and Olwyn were so kind and helped me so very much. The selection for both my dress and for my bridesmaids was brilliant and they made my whole wedding experience so much easier and less stressful! I highly recommend carisma for the personal but professional experience!
