Such a shame...

This used to be my favourite Little Venice restaurant. The decor was colourful and Mediterraneanesque, the service jolly and friendly (particularly tolerant of babies) and the food fantastic. I once took a friend there for a birthday treat and he managed to eat 6 fantastic courses. What happened? The decor is now bland taupe, the atmosphere has gone and the service appears stressed. I didn't mind paying that bit extra when the overall exerience was so positive, but The Green Olive has lost its charm and needs a rethink if it wants to maintain its steep prices. A disappointment.

The Green Olive is one of Maida Vale's best kept secrets. Great food, great wines, great service at a very un-London price. Service has gone down as of late. I hear management might have changed. Nonetheless great italian food in a quaint location
