Great little place on the northcote road. Normaly rammed near the bar on fridays and saturdays but if you push through to the back there's often space. Unusual beers, good crowd, good buzz. Just what you want from a bar.

Nice indy bar but too small!

On a street which is getting taken over by chains (whether they be shops, restaurants or bars), its heartening to see that the holy drinker is still clinging on to its popularity! This place has always been a good little local bar to hang out at, though it does tend to get overly rammed on a Fri and Sat night - better in the summer though when you can spill over onto the pavement out front. Plays not-too-in-yer-face music, has friendly bar staff, serves magners and is partic. fab on a Sunday evening in winter huddled by the real fire at the back.
(btw by Indy, I don't mean that they play nothing but Blur and the Stone Roses!!)
