I’ve been working for Pink Cadillac for some time now helping them build their website and would like to counter the very unfair review that has been pasted into several business review sites.
Pink Cadillac are close to becoming entirely self-sufficient with regard to maintaining their website, and thus won’t be needing my services for much longer, also I’ve plenty of other work from a good portfolio of local businesses as clients (more than I need) and so I have no need to or vested interest in promoting Pink Cadillac.
Pink Cadillac are very decent clients, the staff are always very pleasant and were before they knew who I was. It is almost unique and very refreshing to have a client who is so hands-on and keen to learn how to build their own website, to produce all their own content, including hand-drawn artwork. Also they don’t use ‘stock’ photos but take the time to photograph the actual product in the shop. (What exactly did the reviewer think was “crappy… and unprofessional rubbish” on the website??). In fact the site has quickly become very popular with hundreds of hits per week without any promotion.
For the reviewer to criticise the owner for their age, be amused when a small local shop closes, throw in a libellous comment about the website at the end and then paste this review into every site they can find just shows their mentality. Clearly this is a crass and vindictive review from someone with a grudge and nothing better to do.
I’m very surprised that these review sites allow this kind of thing. Interestingly some of these review sites have offered to remove the offending review, but only if Pink Cadillac signs up to pay them a monthly subscription!
