It seemed like most of Putney was here when we last visited on a weekday evening, and it didn't take long to understand why. La Mancha is a bright, open restaurant with small wooden tables, cosy corners, and bags of conviviality.
The menu is extensive and the popularity can mean you have to book a table for 2 even on a week night. Service has always been above average for me, but can be a bit slow when really busy, though you can see they are trying to keep on top of it. Some of the more ambitious dishes will not be as good as some food lovers are used to, but the portions are generous, and you are paying lower prices than average for that area. Overall I think it is good value, and they should be commended for a stout effort!
