Left with Bald Spot after 1 Visit!

The place was unsafe, dirty, there was a long line and the staff were extremely rude. This was especially true of the stylist who did my hair. While she was giving me a relaxer, she ran out of the salon to go to buy some fried chicken! She did this while the relaxer was still on my head! I have a very big bald spot near the front of my forehead and a lot of the hair on the back of my head broke off. My hair is now see-through, when I used to have lovely hair that was past my shoulders. I am very worried because the hair has not grown back months after this experience!

The place is also filthy - the bathroom was disgustingly dirty. Stay away! This place is not worth. I thought that this was a cheap salon, but I am going to have to pay a lot of money to get my hair back to the condition that it was in before I visited Hairmax.

The only reason that I gave it a single is because you are required to at least leave one. I would have given it a negative rating if the system on this site allowed me to do so!

HAIRMAX in Camberwell has got COCKROACHES I saw one running across the side and it look like the daddy. Safe to say I will NEVER BE SETTING FOOT IN THERE AGAIN !!! Its cheap at only £25 but the stress you have to go through waiting around for HOURS, then have some rude hair dresser rough you up like you slept wit her man just aint worth it.

i went 2 hairmax 4 de first time i was dee 9:30Am and left dee 12:00am. the wait is too bad but at the end the hair was great. i understand plp customer services is bad but not all of them NIKI is a good stylist and i will recommand plp 2 let her do your hair. She is nice n if u r looking for the best short cut hair she is de one.

Amazing Weave and nothing else

I had never done a weave in my life until my sister came home with an amazing weave. My concept of weaves before is that they look ugly and fake, however after seeing my sister's hair i was willing to give it a go.
I got to hairmax the first time at 8am, the place was supposed to open at 11, at 11.20 the lady strolled in looking very harsh. She spoke to people as if they were something she picked from the bottom of her shoe. I picked up a ticket and my hair was cornrowed at 2pm. The lady that did my hair didn't say a word to me the whole time she was doing my hair. she spoke over me talking to her colleagues, walking off and leaving me to answer her phone. I left at 6.20 and my hair looked fantastic.
The moral of the story is, you will get a fab weave at an unbelievable price, but DO NOT EXPECT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. DON'T EXPECT TO ME SPOKEN TO WITH RESPECT OR LIKE A HUMAN BEING.

Absolute disgrace. The people are rude, disgusting have no respect for you or your hair. The staff are so unprofessional - each time ive been, i have got there at about 10:30 (ive been tue x 2 and wed x1) and i have left at 6:00. the staff will be on their phones, the level and tone of conversation is disgraceful ("lightskinned/brown skinned/mixed peoples skin has a funny, nasty scent to it" ????? wtf???)

If you are not serious about the health of your hair whilst wearing weaves then this is the place for you!

the braiders: They'll yank your head around, tear the blowdrier through your hair before plaiting, then rip a rattail comb through your hair whist they part to make the tracks.

I even witnessed one "braider" cuss out a number of people for having greasy hair - she wipped the same dirty rag (it probably was a towel in its past life) accross their poor heads so roughly while cussing them infornt of the whole salon. She was loud and her name begins with the letter "P" if you get her, i feel for you!!

I have been three times, occasion 1 i got a straight weave which i kept for a week. it was rushed, too bulky i looked like a dancehall queen and i was foolish enough to tip the stylist. the second was perfect and i couldnt fault the braider or the stylist (i cant remember her name, but her chair is the very last one on the right side). the third time, the "braider" that i mentioned above (P) braided my hair, she was rough, didnt do the tracks in the pattern that I TOLD HER TO, was on her phone, disgusting!

IVE JUST TAKEN THE ABOMINATION OFF MY HEAD THIS WEEKEND, MY HAIR WAS BROKEN BEYOND REPAIR FROM THE ROUGH TREATMENT. EVERYONE KNOWS HOW SERIOUS I AM ABOUT MY HAIR AND CANT BELIEVE WHAT HAS HAPPENED - * MY HAIR WAS ALL CLUMPED TOGETHER AS MY SCALP WAS BLEEDING AND SEAPING AND I HAVE A BALD PATCH ON THE CROWN, ABOUT THE SIZE OF A 50 PENCE PIECE.*

IVE HAD TO CUT FOUR INCEHS OF MY HAIR OFF AS THE ENDS WERE FINISHED. IF YOU WANT HAIR ON YOUR HEAD AND YOU SPEND TIME CARING FOR YOUR HAIR PROPERLY PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT QUALIFICATIONS THESE PEOPLE HAVE BUT THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CARE FOR HAIR. I HAVE EVEN SAW CHEMICAL TREATMENTS BEING PERFORMED, I WOULD NEVER, EVER, EVER LET THESE PEOPLE WASH MY HAIR LET ALONE PUT ANY TYPE OF CHEMICAL NEAR MY HEAD!!

IF YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HAIR THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU, BUT TRUST ME, YOU'LL PAY FOR IT IN THE LONG RUN, AND YOU'LL HAVE NO HAIR TO EVEN WEAVE UP, IT'LL BE WIGS FOR YOU STARR!!

Hairmax? More like Hair Saviour!!

After been treated rather rudely by my previous hairdresser I had decided to leave her and find another. Boy was I in desperate need of a good hair stylist. One day when I paid a visit to my friend’s house I had noticed her weave. I was in total shock because it looked so so good. She told me that a hair salon called Hairmax did it and that they were very affordable. Having heard that, I took my mum and my younger sister along with me to check out the salon. I had my hair done in about 35 minutes. And it turned out great. I’ve now stopped looking for a hair salon. Hairmax is wonderful and I’ll recommend them to anyone, any day.

Good Stylist Poor Customer Service

Found out about hairmax when I enquired from a girl I met about where she had done her kinky twists.

In total exasperation with all the weaves I had done with 4 different hair salons, two of which were high end, I finally paid Hairmax a visit.

Interiors and location not that great but I came out with the best weave I had had in years. The tracks were well prepared and the weave was cut to near perfection. Awesome. Highly recommend this salon.

-Unfortunately, the last time I was there, I was physically threatened by the hair dressers and verbally assaulted by the owner because I would dare to complain. Customer service is poor. Will never go back...
