John and Paul used to hang out around here (John lived about 100m up the road at one time) and IN here(?); if you weren't sure it's pretty much certain when you walk through the door; loads of great Beatles photographs, framed album sleeves and other stuff hanging from the walls.

Anyway, it's not just about the Fabs, this is a great bar, full of locals, students, all ages, sometimes tourists and very welcoming. I've always felt thoroughly relaxed and upbeat in here. They do good food and the quiz nights on mondays and sometimes tuesdays are really competitive but fun - lots of challenging questions, not yer often "Who played Barry in Brookie?"-type pub quiz questions. You'd definitely come again.
