This is a pretty new club, opened this year. You walk down a sloping path to get to The Island, on which they have laid out the red carpet, literally. You may call it the crimson path of glory if you wish. A friend's friend was DJing one night, so we went down to check it out. It has two rooms, and is a fairly small place. Or 'intimate' as it's described in venue parlance.

The front room contains the ever popular central bar 'Cheers' arrangement. I love this layout. Whatever venue you like to go to, loud or quiet, big or intimate, you can always find one with a Cheers arrangement. It has candles around and comfy seats round the edge, though there's not a lot of room to dance. The back room is darker, and has an impressive laser display shooting through the room, threatening to correct your vision every time you cross the dancefloor.

The people in here were really cool, everyone had a good night. But the drinks were about £4 a pint. The music was great too, and it went on until about 6. It's a really nice place and if you want a 'long night' in a cosy venue, this is definitely your place.
