Here's the Beef

I love buying meat from The Ginger Pig - you really couldn't ask for a better selection and a more knowledgeable staff. I've given up on the overpriced leathery stuff that passes for steak at most supermarkets, but I'll occasionally get one of the beautiful aged steaks from The Ginger Pig. These aren't exactly cheap, but you get what you pay for: really high quality, super beefy beef. Perhaps the phrase "super beefy beef" isn't the most appetizing way of describing it, but believe me they raise some really tasty grass-fed Longhorns. Apart from the beef, they have one of the best bacon selections you can find and a large range of homemade sausages. There's tough competition at Borough Market, but The Ginger Pig is consistently my favorite place to shop for meat. Also open during the week when most of Borough Market is closed.
