The location makes this a good place to meet before a night out, but it's a decent pub to spend a couple of hours on anyway. Always a good range of beers, had good reports of food and wine but not tried them myself. Good value.

I've only been here twice, but one was an unusually warm London night so loads of people were out and about around Angel. The york's a great place to just chill outside with a couple of beers and even strike up a random conversation with the people walking towards other pubs on upper st.
Very lively both nights I've been.

Really varied selection of food, reasonably priced. Part of a chain but retains an `independent` feeling....
